In this role you will be responsible for the execution of a cohesive and consistent promotional and communications IT channel strategy for UK&I, in-line with EMEA central MarComms and the UK&I sales & marketing organisational strategy. This position is responsible for activities within the IT (distributors and resellers) and EWS (Electrical Wholesale) channels, aligned with the business growth objectives and in doing so maximising the ROI from the investments made.
Activities includes the execution of partner programs, joint events, promotion management, Media Buy activities, and general value-based communications, (including PR where relevant)
This position will be closely aligned with the digital marketing team, as well as the UK Channel marketing Manager. Managing channel related marketing automation including social content & usage and driving customer contact creation & maturity. Success will be measured through key effectiveness KPI’s including brand equity, channel lead generation, partner engagement levels and sales resulting from all marketing & communication activities.
Your key deliverables:
- Channel Marketing – responsible for the execution of IT and EWS Channel operational marketing activities with alignment with Channel marketing and Sales Managers.
- Event Management –delivery of channel trade show events on time and within budget with demonstrable ROI.
- Manage and optimize marketing documentation localisation and printed material stock through dedicated 3rd party resource.
- Develop & leverage Business Intelligence relating to MarComm & CRM KPIs in pursuit of improved MarComm effectiveness.
- Involvement in Budget management, including the MDF (Marketing Development Funds) looking for process improvement and providing suggestions to enable ROI improvements.
- Support the CSO and central channel team to drive adoption and implementation of all relevant processes and tools to ensure efficiency and consistency -- identifying and adapting where appropriate to focus on relevant segments/markets to ensure best results.
- All other activities developed as part of the CSO marketing strategy to deliver increased market share and brand equity through channels.
- Share best practices and look for synergies for channel activities within the EMEA team
Qualifications
Required:
- 1 – 2 years experience with demonstrable understanding of channel marketing
- A history of success in sales & marketing-related activities (e.g. sales or business development, inside sales, lead management) would also be of significant benefit.
- Digital marketing know-how is a plus, but interest in digital marketing is a must.
- Goal focused, results driven, creative individual with strong execution skills.
- A good commercial business acumen with ability to work within a highly matrixed organization and an open mind.
- Knowledge and experience with IT Channel and Eaton (company & products) is a plus.
