Objective of Job
Daimler R&D Tech Center China will be the major R&D site of Daimler in Beijing, starting operations in the year 2021.
In an integrated campus concept together with the pilot plant, test track and BBAC test benches, we are setting-up know-how for new energy vehicles technology, powertrain and chassis, emission and in-vehicle air quality, to make us even better adapt to market specific requirements.
The chassis lab in Tech Center China, fulfilling the same highest technical standards as the chassis durability lab in Daimler RD headquarter, is responsible for ensuring the fatigue performance of the entire chassis in China. The main tasks are to prove the required service life of the chassis component and system in development phase.
Task Description
- In coordination with int./ext. counter parts and HQ Germany - occupancy planning of the test rigs to ensure high test bench utilization.
- Technical coordination and management of outsourced testing issues.
- In cooperation with int. fixture designer/HQ Germany - to provide the test bench adaptations required for the test (full-axle adapters for example)
- Processing of the digital or experimental load spectrum/test program required for testing.
- Verification of the test load to ensure a high simulation quality between the test bench and the vehicle
- Carrying out the test with maintaining a high level of follow-up quality during the test run
- On-site inspection of the components during / Coordination the inspection after the test and
- Documentation of the test results, evaluation of the test results for the final release in cooperation with product development
- Participation in the further development of the test procedures and concepts used in the test laboratory in order to meet the requirements of the product and the current state of technology.
