ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

Developing new solvent PSAs by solvent polymerization and formulation

Application of solvent PSAs  on labels and adjust performance based on requirements.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Develop project plans and lead projects from prototypes to product development to scale-up and commercialization.

• Conduct hand-on formulation and polymerization of solvent adhesives based on CTQs

• Collaboration with project team and marketing to drive innovation and product promotion

• Build and expand core adhesive technology through careful study of the literature, new scientific discovery, external development and development of intellectual property.

• Involved in adhesive scaling up and coating

• Supervise, coach and mentor technicians and junior scientists.

• PhD  with 3+ years of relevant experience in the field of Chemistry or Polymer Science

• Detailed knowledge of adhesive development including emulsion and/or solvent acrylic polymerization/formulation  fundamentals and polymer processing

• Detailed knowledge of rheological characterization and analytical/applications testing of soft polymers such as pressure sensitive adhesives.

• Proficient in English with outstanding technical writing ability.

• Teamwork spirit
