We are looking for are looking for aChemical Engineering intern for our Pharmaceutical facility in Sligo.

 

Our interns will be based across Operations and Engineering and Technical Operations in both the Biologics, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Drug Product (DP) facilities. Interns will also work on cross functional Continuous Improvement Projects with site and global teams.  Interns can also join our culture teams and STEM education outreach ambassador programmes.

 

Our Pharmaceutical Site in Sligo, which has both the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient is looking for a 3 Chemical Engineering interns.

 

Pharma Chemical Engineering intern - Core Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing on process related tasks in either Drug Product or the Activate Pharmaceutical ingredient facility. Tasks include baseline data collation, assist in process optimisation, technical report writing, technical contribution to daily operations in manufacturing. Support daily operations activities, identify and react to daily critical tasks and adjust work schedule to accommodate high priority actions.
  • Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure smooth production execution.
  • Identify and lead key life cycle management projects for commercial products which are within their first five years of commercial life on site. With particular emphasis on reducing cost of goods, waste removal, and improved cycle times.
  • Liase and communicate with global personell on projects, provide technical input to the global product technical team as it relates to the Irish site. Take and implement any changes made globally and apply to local operations as they relate.
  • Ensure local operations are in compliance with current global product procedures and implement any improvements to the local site once completed by the broader global team.

 

 


Qualifications
  • Studying for a Bachelors or Master’s Degree student in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Min of 3.0 GPS or 2.1
  • Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
  • EU working permit
