R&D Project Execution

1. Execute the polymer project to develop new polymers with proper property and new technologies for different BUs with the support of chemist or project leader.

2. Improve and optimize the present products to improve the quality and to reduce the cost.

3. Support the scale-up of development products at the pilot or production scale.

4. Provide technical support to formulation, technical service and regulatory as required. If necessary, be on customer's site.

5. Proper documentation of observations and results of developed products.

6. Search and introduce latest technology to help expand business.

Basic Analytical Tests

1. Perform analytical tests for developed chemicals or polymer.

2. Analyze competitor products.

3. If necessary, transfer product for external analytical tests.

Knowledge Management

• Highlight ideas & developments could lead to IP

• Contributes to invention reports.

EHS & 5S

• Maintain lab equipment and EHS & 5S responsibilities

• Keep the lab in a safe mode to meet the EHS target.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

? Hold MS degree or PhD (preferred) from a university recognized for its strong education in polymer or materials science.

? Willing to work in industrial environment with polymer synthesis; preferably have 1+years’ experience with a global chemical company with broad exposure to a range of related technologies (analytical, process chemistry, polymer physical science, etc.);

? R&D experience on polymer chemistry; preferably on water borne resin synthesis (such as emulsion polymerization) or coating formulation is a plus.

? Have proven track on the research project management.
