Job Description

 

Chief Engineer
You perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property’s facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for the guests.

  • What you will be doing:
    • Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on property’s facilities and equipment
    • Inspect all areas of the property for safety issues and take immediate corrective action
    • Assist guests regarding property facilities in an informative and helpful way
    • Prime Function:

    • To direct and coordinate the overall activities of the Engineering Department.
    • Conform and adhere to the policies & procedures and rules & regulations as laid down by Novotel Ahmedabad in order to achieve the highest levels of guest service.
    • To maintain regular inventories of the technical equipment.
    • Ensure quality is adhered to in all aspects of the job, by the Engineering team.
    • Any matter which may effect the interests of Novotel Ahmedabad should be brought to the attention of the Management.
    • To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.
    • To follow the key responsibility for ISO 14001 as per all clause.
    • Engineering Planning
    • Financial Management
    • People Mqanagement
    • Operational Management
    • Planet 21 initiatives to be handled.

 

    • Your experience and skills include:
      • Leadership skills that utilize persuasion and motivation to attain organizational        goals is the most desirable management quality, followed by honesty, integrity, ethical behaviour, tactfulness, openness, and cultural awareness;
      • Ability to accept responsibility;
      • Self confidence, motivation, drive and tenacity;
      • Ability to enhance organizational performance;
      • Ability to clearly delegate tasks and responsibilities;
      • Ability to think strategically, inductively, and creatively;
      • And the propensity to recognize and acknowledge other peoples’ ideas.
      • Relevant building maintenance experience is an asset
      • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
      • Highly responsible & reliable
    • 12-15 years of experience required.
