Job Description: Chief Engineer (Full-time)

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. As the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all engineering activities within our organization.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards

- Manage and allocate resources effectively to optimize productivity and efficiency

Core functions of the position, but are not limited to the following;

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.

• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.

• Supervise the interior and exterior maintenance needs of the entire property.

• Excellent leadership and management skills

• Corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance to maintain property in safe and attractive condition.

• Documentation of all mandatory, ongoing, room preventative maintenance.

• Schedule and assign duties to maintenance staff.

• Ensure that tools and equipment are functional and in safe working condition.

• Maintain records of types and frequency of maintenance.

• Make approved purchases of supplies, equipment and services.

• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment.

• Proficient in using engineering software and tools

• Conduct regular safety inspections of the property and actively participate in the Hotel’s Safety Committee.

• Manage and maintain required certifications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to health and safety.

• Train and supervise maintenance staff.

• Thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, plumbing cleanouts, fire extinguishers.

• Ensure maintenance of exterior lighting, gutter cleaning, walkways, parking areas, trash enclosures, pool/spa, and common area facilities.

• Ensure proper control and possession of all hotel issued keys.

• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the hotel.

• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000/year
