Job Description

The CFO is the ultimate financial authority, responsible and accountable to ensure that the balance sheet and P&L statement of the assigned units represent the business in an accurate, complete and fair manner. The CFO reports directly to country President, and functionally to the Area CFO and is part of both local leadership team as well as area finance leadership team.

The above translates into four key areas of responsibility:

The CFO oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal and statutory reporting activities ensuring for the correct and timely internal and external reporting for Tax, Balance Sheet and P&L.
- Establishes the procedures and mechanisms to comply with the Financial Control Framework (FCF) at all levels

- Responsible for the successful performance against internal/external audits (no material findings)
- Signs off, after review with global tax, on all locally prepared tax filings

- The CFO builds the tax, statutory risk matrix (Heat map) and ensures remediation of the open items in a prioritized form
- Ensures that a culture of ethics and integrity is embedded in all business practices. Complies with the Code of Conduct, all relevant supporting policies, standards and procedures.  
 

The CFO oversees long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with strategy. The CFO steers the Business Partners to:

  • Define the short, medium and long-term budgets for: Sales, Costs, Expenses and Cash Flow
  • Monitoring actual results against budget and latest view in order to define deviations and to suggest or to make decisions that drive corrective actions.
  • Benchmarking across brands and markets to drive an optimal allocation of resources
  • Ensuring partnerships are performing in line with agreements
  • Driving accurate forecasting processes
  • Drive Procurement value delivery and governance
     

The CFO is responsible for the optimal performance of the finance team, including:
- Agreeing and driving optimized SLA/ KPIs with Global Finance Services (GFS)
- Building talent within the Embedded Finance organization
- Ensuring the finance function delivers value added insights to key stakeholders                                                                                                                                                             

The CFO ensures the delivery of all of the above with the lowest RoC possible and within highest levels of compliance.
- The CFO drives a robust cash flow management framework by optimizing indicators such as CTT, AR improvement and takes appropriate steps to ensure market deliver against targets
- The CFO ensures compliance with treasury policies (eg single bank account use, optimal borrowing level, etc)
