The CFO works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer, and is responsible for providing leadership, direction, discipline in the areas of strategy and planning, financial accounting, finance and treasury, board relations and business improvements. The CFO is also the public face of the company to its investment community along with the CEO during and after the fund raising.

• Play a lead role in the fund raising activities of the company, ranging from, but not limited to, evaluating new VC / PE players, investor relations and M&A
• Be responsible for the overall financial controllership of the company and taking care of the accounting, taxation, budgeting & commercial functions
• Leverage the power of data insights and analytics to design subscription-pricing models and delivering the predictable, recurring revenue for company
• Communication as necessary to answer questions and inform senior management concerning financial performance and business issues
• Update financial projections based on new historical data. Design and implement interdepartmental initiatives to maximize company cash runway
• Investor relationship management. Develop and leverage relationships with regulators, credit agencies and other financial institutions
• Establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies and procedures in support of the overall strategic plan
• Oversee the production of monthly consolidated reports including reconciliations with funders and pension plan requirements, financial statements and cash flow projections across entities
• Manage initially a small team to ensure timely invoicing, collections and payments to external providers.
• Continuously search for process improvements and define product specs to further automate financial processes

• Have 10+ years of diversified financial management experience in both public and private firm
• Experience in core finance areas such as financial compliance, financial process controls, business planning and analysis, budgeting, financial reporting and accounting, treasury, wealth management and taxation
• Experience in institutional fund raising e.g. from VCs
• Strong problem solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
• Has financially and operationally savvy with a demonstrated ability to develop and monitor key performance metrics/dashboards in partnership with all department heads for effective resource planning
• Experience in developing and training a strong finance team to provide effective accounting, budget and cash management functions to facilitate the company's growth and profitability objectives.
• Master in communicating effectively with all levels of the teams, requiring an inherent understanding of when to maintain concise, high-level discussions, and when to drill deeper into the details
• A solid communicator, collaborator, and able to integrate well in a fast paced, complex, dynamic and results-oriented environment
• Has entrepreneurial spirit. Not afraid to get your hands dirty in operations while flying at a high speed.
• 5+ years of investment/debt fundraising/sales banking experience
• Has team managing experience in start-up companies
• Strong experience with accounting research and accounting white papers
