Responsible for providing oversight to the management of the investment portfolios in the relevant AIA organisation.To be the Subject Matter Expert within Philam for Investments
Being demonstrably responsible and accountable for all investment outcomes and results for Philam.
Ensuring full compliance with the Investment Governance Framework.
Chairing the Philam Investment Committee and ensuring that performance, ALM, Compliance and Governance issues are fully covered
Supporting Philam with investment solutions and products.
Leading and managing the relationship between Philam, the Philippines Trust Company (“TC”) and other Investment functions across AIA
Providing demonstrable oversight of asset managers (such as the TC, AIAIM and external managers) to which portfolio management is outsourced
Taking Responsibility for investment input to the end-to-end product development & lifecycle management process
Providing investment leadership for the Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) process and being a member of Philam’s Asset Liability Committee.
Responsible for the oversight of the Tactical Asset Allocation across all portfolios within designated limits and may delegate to other entities within the Group.
Cash Management arising from cash inflows/outflows/allocations from Philam to the outsourced asset managers
Proactively and continuously connecting Philam to the AIA Investment Operating Model and its components
As asset owner, responsible for the appointment of the custodians (for general account assets) and opening of the operational cash/custody accounts and set up of systems accounts (such as FAM and IBOR)
Providing ongoing investment advice and updates to Philam Exco and Board
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields; CFA and FLMI preferred
Minimum 15 years of experience in a regulated financial institution with direct involvement in and strong understanding of Investments, Markets, Capital, and Risk
Excellent communication skill and fluent in English
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Matured with strong leadership skill
With integrity, and of good moral character
Ability to deal with variety of senior stakeholders both local and Group, both internal and external and gravitas to lead and guide discussions at a senior level
Track record of developing investment solutions in support of insurance businesses and of working with Finance, Actuarial and Product teams
Familiarity with TAA decision making and implementation as part of active investment management.
Adherence to highest standards of Conduct a pre-requisite with curiosity, creativity and commitment to problem solving and client support all highly desirable qualities
