Responsibilities:

• Work independently and in a small group designing experiments, performing analysis, and compiling data
• Characterize and purify the bioactive molecules from traditional Chinese medicine
• Work with the biology team to carry out drug discovery projects
• Train and supervise junior research staff
• Prepare manuscripts and reports
• Prepare funding applications and patent applications

Requirements

• Ph. D. degree in analytical chemistry
• At least 10 years of research experience in drug discovery
• Outstanding follow-through, self-starting attitude, time management and project management skills to deliver result
• Strong knowledge and experience in operating the analytical chemistry equipment including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS and NMR etc
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in English, Mandarin & Cantonese
• Immediate available is highly preferred
