About the venture

We are excited to launch our newest Stealth Venture - a thriving community and marketplace where industries, technologies and professional services come together to innovate in new ways. We help organisations leverage the proven solutions of others to solve their own business problems, reducing duplicate effort and inspiring new approaches to innovation.

Our platform hosts a variety of proprietary solutions and curated content from leading industry players, startups, vendors and universities. We aim to inspire and foster collaboration between a community of innovators both online through our platform, and offline through events and relationships.

The Venture is being built by BCG Digital Ventures (“BCGDV”) and is backed by leading industrial players across the world. The business is due to launch in early 2020, and will be based in London, UK with some international travel.

What will the role involve?

You’re the technical co-founder and driving force for the engineering team, being the crucial interface between business, product and design. You dive deep into technical architecture, manage stakeholders, communicate towards peers and leadership and lead the engineering activities for the company.

At the same time, you still have a passion for development and a hands-on attitude which helps you to guide and support other engineers to bring highest value to the stakeholders with experience in serverless architectures and a great understanding of JavaScript technologies.

As The Chief Technology Officer You Will

• Together with the CEO, you will shape the company’s executive team and help drive its strategy
• Define, articulate, and execute engineering strategy and product delivery from launch to scale
• Grow and lead a team of engineers 
• Constantly evaluate technological advancements and innovative solutions to drive continuous product improvement
• Gain and share insights with other leadership team members to continue improving the product and the business

Desired Expertise & Experience

• Multiple years architecting and building products from pre-launch through maturity
• Experience in key engineering leadership positions in start-up or fast paced environment
• Ability to stand up in an organization and build and scale high performing engineering teams
• An entrepreneurial spirit that is flexible, experimental, and resourceful
• Experience with some of the following is a plus: Building online marketplaces, blockchain, energy or industrial goods industry
