Position Description:
The International Sales Organization COO & Channel Chief is seeking a high
potential, top performer for this position: requiring a professional demeanor,
excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to work on
a wide range of tasks and strategic initiatives.
The Chief of Staff (COS) is a critically important role, enabling the VP to
work more effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role is
highly strategic and facilitative that requires a combination of focus and
flexibility as well as a willingness to play an active, operational and
communicative role. As the VPs ‘trusted counsel', the role requires strong
emotional intelligence, self-motivation and strong analytical and
interpersonal skills. This role will also be responsible for managing a team
of project managers. Strong leadership skills are required.
This position will report directly to the VP, ISO COO & Global Channel
Responsibilities:
• Build and run all transformational project for ISO COO & Channel org
• Work with the channel, sales strategy and business management teams to run
efficiently the team, ensure fluid communication and action mindset, and
prioritize initiatives & projects
• Facilitate and manage the process of identifying, prioritizing, chartering,
communicating, and managing key strategic projects, within ISO, with geos,
Global Sales ops & BGs
• Work with geos, GA & ecom on alignment on bridges, targets, BMS
transformation, target setting and updates
• Govern the strategic planning process for ISO COO, Winterplans, QBR’s, Deep
Dives, LEC presentation
• Prepare external presentation with alliance partner and Channel customers,
in alignment with the ISO COO & Channel teams
• Work with the MI team to build a comprehensive MI sellin/sellout/Solution
geo playbook for harmonizing the way ISO is looking at MI
• Act as a change agent for business transformation initiatives and tools that
further optimize our end to end business execution and performance, on the 3
BGs and on the 4 geos
• Collaborate with ISO President CoS to effectively manage time between ISO
President and his COO
• Tracking key strategic actions and driving them to closure.
• Support the NA Category VP with ad-hoc projects and key strategic
initiatives, deputize him whenever it is possible in key meetings
#### Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. MBA a strong plus.
This role requires working knowledge in end to end P&L management, product
portfolio knowledge and market/competitive analysis. The individual must be
able to deal with ambiguity and should be able to respond quickly to multiple
issues and tight deadlines.
Other requirements:
• 10+ years work experience
• Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities, with
ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Ability to navigate Lenovo and good relationships spanning product, sales,
marketing, finance etc.
• Leadership skills with ability to inspire others to achieve a common
objective
• Enjoys keeping a fast pace and high energy, and not easily stressed
• Strong Analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of
information from multiple sources to draw conclusions
• Emotional intelligence, flexible work style, and excellent diplomatic skills
across all levels of the organization
• Excellent communications skills with ability to simplify and explain complex
problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions, with a
willingness to challenge when necessary
• Keen business acumen- govern the strategic planning, understand our
strategy, assess how well we are executing to it, offer recommendations for
improvement
• Entrepreneurial and creative mindset with ability to formulate solutions to
problems and Strong process orientation and mindset.
