The VP-Finance of our International Markets & Global Support is seeking a high
potential, top performer for this new position: requiring a professional
demeanor, excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability
to work on a wide range of tasks and strategic initiatives.
The Chief of Staff (COS) is a critically important role, enabling them to work
more effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This is not an
administrative role - it is a highly strategic and facilitative role that
requires a combination of focus and flexibility as well as a willingness to
play an active, operational and communicative role. As the VPs ‘trusted
counsel', the role requires strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation and
strong analytical and interpersonal skills. This position will have a strong
Customer Orientation- thinks about customer’s (both internal and external)
priorities, value we can deliver and will make trade-offs that ultimately will
drive us to become a word class team.
This position will report directly to the VP-Finance.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and manage the process of identifying, prioritizing, chartering,
communicating, and managing key projects along with running a relentless
drumbeat to drive projects in time.
• Establishing, coordinating and maintaining business management requirements
for LEC, Group CFO, ISO & Global Support SLT including the management of Staff
agenda and meetings.
• Tracking key strategic actions and driving them to closure; manage the
process of tracking and communicating performance versus core BU objectives.
• Serving as the key interface to the VP office for external groups (i.e.
customer and partners) as well as internal business groups
• Conduct market and financial analysis activities to support BU projects and
business initiatives
#### Position Requirements:
Experience working with Lenovo and understanding of finance function
• 9+ years’ work experience in Finance or Strategy
• Superior organizational skills and project/time management abilities, with
ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Ability to navigate in Lenovo finance sub functions and good relationships
spanning engineering, sales, marketing, COO, etc.
• Understanding of our product lines, competitor positioning and market
trends.
• Leadership skills with ability to inspire others to achieve a common
objective and drive cross functional teams.
• Strong Analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of
information from multiple sources to draw conclusions
• Excellent Power Point, Excel skills apart from overall knowledge of
financial/operational systems in Lenovo.
• Flexible work style and hands-on with a attitude to dive into problem
solving.
• Excellent communications skills with ability to simplify and explain complex
problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functions, with a
willingness to challenge when necessary.
