The Chief-of-Staff & Project Management Office role will be responsible for working closely with the GM on strategic projects, identifying opportunities to increase operational effectiveness (e.g. process improvement, helping establishing the Allergan Aesthetics operating model in Canada, audits, etc), and working closely with the Allergan Aesthetics Leadership Team to optimize how that team operates and execute the key organizational priorities. Responsibilities would include acting as the strategic confidante and advisor to the GM, leading in-country implementation, tracking and communication of strategic initiatives for Allergan Aesthetic through coordination of key projects and respective work streams of business initiatives, ensuring clarity of project scopes and plans, identifying and facilitating the removal of ‘blockers’, identifying interdependencies between projects, assuring that projects are effectively planned, controlled and managed to agreed time, specification and budget. The CoS/PMO is ultimately responsible for supporting the business in achieving or beating the 2022 Canadian Plan. Key Duties / Responsibilities For required projects/programs, ensure a standardized approach to project management within Canada in order to facilitate consistency and eliminate duplication of effort Identify critical paths and support prioritization efforts of people involved across the various business initiatives by providing and tracking an overview of the various transformational initiatives, which require respective functional support Act as Project Office / Project Management for cross functional projects: support prioritization of projects aligned to Canadian priorities act as an ambassador for projects help develop understanding of resource implications of projects facilitate the clarification of roles and responsibilities between various functional areas in accordance with the operating model support communication activities assess understanding of the vision and plans, provide a “pulse” and develop proposals of corrective actions as required. Ensure GM is prepared for key meetings/business reviews and act as a confidential sounding board Act as a strategic advisor to the GM and LT by sharing market and organizational insights, potential solutions, risks and recommendation to enhance decision-making Act as a thought partner on key tactical and strategic decisions that affect our customers, products, company, and culture. Manage key leadership meetings, business reviews and ensure follow-up items are actioned. Drive the execution & implementation of specific functional project deliverables and ensure all work streams are coordinated according to overall plans and deadlines Report at regional/country leadership team level on projects status, progress, risks/issues, and costs; identify project resource conflicts and opportunities for optimization; challenge project plan progress; document learning and project deliverables.
