Job Description

What you will do:

  • Drafting, review and negotiation of various commercial contracts initiated by both business & development teams in China, including but not limited to IP license, service and purchase, distribution, cross promo-promotion, etc.;
  • Contribute to advising local and HQ teams on a wide variety of matters, incl. contract termination, breach of contract, audits, etc.
  • Keep abreast of and closely monitor the latest development of rules and regulations which impact the video game and TMT industries, anticipate and keep internal teams (both locally and at HQ level) informed of the latest legislation, law enforcement and best compliance practices;
  • Prepare and update various the Company’s policies, contribute to updating our processes and templates regularly to remain compliant with both Group policies and China laws;
  • Provide legal research in the areas of employment law, data & privacy law, and other matters as assigned;
  • Create & conduct business-oriented legal trainings for the teams;
  • Contribute to case management of local litigation and inspection.

Qualifications

What you need to be equipped with:

Experience:

  • Law firm/multi-national companies’ in-house legal working experience as a transactional attorney with some general practitioner experience;
  • LLB degree and PRC qualified preferred

  • Good working knowledge of intellectual property law, contract law and business law
  • Prior in-house experience preferred;
  • Familiar with TMT, video game industry.

Skills:

  • Good written and oral English;
  • High level of accuracy in work, attentive to details;
  • Self-motived and good organizational and time management abilities with proficiency to multi-task and prioritize workload;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a highly collaborative working style, with demonstrated success working in small teams;
  • Interest for video games a plus,
  • Curiosity, willing to learn and grow,
  • Work successfully with business teams in different locations, with colleagues of various cultures and nationalities.
