Job Responsibilities:

• Report to the Director of Operations / Head of Communications and Community in formulating and executing the communications strategy for ISF, e.g. community engagement, events, media and branding
• Proof-read, edit, write and/or translate (from English to Chinese) school publications including weekly circulars, handbooks, school profile, newsletters, school websites, social medias and school notices etc.
• Manage and update the Chinese contents on school website and social medias
• Liaise with internal counterparts as well as academic Chinese sectors in Shuyuan, Secondary, Primary and Pre-school.
• Support simultaneous translation from English into Mandarin in school events, conferences and parents meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Chinese Language and Literature, Translation or related disciplines
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Chinese translation and editing, preferably in the education sector
• Strong academic background in Chinese studies and culture
• High proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese (including Mandarin); good command in written and spoken English
• A self-motivated team player and can work independently
• Meticulous, detailed-oriented, with high initiative
