JOB PURPOSE
The Chinese Principal will work collaboratively and cooperatively with the International Principal, take overall responsibility for the leadership, organisation and management of the School in providing inspirational vision and leadership for teaching and learning; driving student enrolment to achieve targets through effective marketing of the school; day-to-day management, organisation and administration; attraction of talent, retention and effective management of staff.

- In collaboration with the International Principal, the Chinese Principal will take the joint responsibility for:
- Providing inspirational vision and leadership in teaching and learning
- Evaluating school performance and identifying priorities for continuous improvement to ensure both local and NAE standard are fully adhered
- The attraction, professional development, retention and effective management of colleagues
- Promoting excellence, equality and high expectations for all members of the school community
- Creating a safe and productive learning environment that is engaging and fulfilling for all students, and ensuring child safeguarding and welfare is at the heart of the school
- Promoting, promulgating and personally living the NAE and school’s values
- Day-to-day management, organisation and administration and effectively deploying resources to achieve the school’s aims
- Working effectively with the school Senior Leadership Team and the Nord Anglia Education Team

- Explore and propose growth opportunities for the school

- Actively communicate with local Education Commission for updated policy and procedure in terms of student enrolment in different age group.

- Ensure relevant staff members fully understand the local regulation and P&P to ensure the compliances are in place.
- Actively participate the marketing event whenever is requested and personally carry out an ambassadorial role representing the school with key influencers and parents of potential pupils

- Effectively market the school to the local community with the aim of recruiting new students and retaining existing students to achieve a full school/agreed budgeted student numbers

- Create an environment within the school that puts achievement at the heart of all that the school does, in accordance with PRC national curricular system and improvement plan.
- Taking full responsibility to ensure all educational targets in 9 years’ PRC compulsory education stage are meet through proper assessment system as introduced by local Education Commission.
- Make full use of national educational programmes to promote outstanding opportunity and success for students, personally, socially and academically
- Promote a culture of personal accountability and passion for education
- Implement an appropriate and personalised blended bilingual curriculum for the school that takes into account the needs, aptitudes and development of individual students
- Review the curriculum regularly and ensuring that it is delivered effectively and continues to meet the needs of students
- Meet challenging but realistic educational targets, agreed with the International Principal that demonstrate excellence in students’ academic progress
- Ensure that pupils’ personal and social development is effectively promoted, through the curriculum and other activities
- Promote excellence in teaching through the monitoring and improvement of teaching standards in school
- Encourage whole-school commitment and shared responsibility, develop the school’s supportive ethos, and motivate staff and students by personal interest
- Maintain high standards of behaviour among all students through a behaviour policy based on self-discipline and respect for others, handling disciplinary matters fairly and equitably
专业技术管理和资源管理
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources (teachers, facilities and teaching materials) in the delivery of educational and operational excellence
- Produce, implement and review the school’s strategic development plans
- Manage the school’s budget according to NAE policy and current context
- Monitor progress of school against annual plans, proposing recovery actions where necessary
- Contribute to the establishment of best practices that can be shared across NAE

- Ensure that all relevant recruitment complies with legislation and NAE policy, in particular safe recruitment
- Ensure all national teachers are fully included into the local educational training program as determined by local Education Commission.
- Promote and support the performance management and professional development of all employees in accordance with the NAE Core 7 principles and the professional learning policy
- Promote the well-being of the staff in order to maximise their professional contribution and satisfaction

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS 任职要求
- University educated with an Honours Degree
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Qualification of School Principal as recognized by PRC system
In-depth knowledge and understanding of:
- PRC national Curriculum especially in 9 years’ compulsory education stage
- School leadership, having responsibility for education, school operations and commercial (budget setting & control) aspects of the school
- Awareness of current educational issues and up to date curriculum developments
- Application of effective teaching and learning strategies that achieve high levels of teaching and pupil achievement
- Effective strategies for maximising student enrolment and achieving commercial success, including personal involvement in school promotion
- Awareness of international education methodology and philosophy
- Experience of exploration on international education
- Developing and implementing a school quality improvement programme, including demonstration of raising students’ level of achievement; alongside School self-evaluation
- An understanding of how to set appropriate targets for school performance, and how to prepare, monitor and evaluate an action plan in relation to those targets
- Experience of premises development
- Proven experience of leading, taking part in and building/developing people and successful teams, and of managing change
- Ability to operate at both strategic and operational level
- Ability to operate as part of a wider group of schools and represent the vision of the overall group
- Ability to inspire and enthuse, and secure the loyalty and confidence of students, staff and parents
- Ability to effectively handle parental concerns, balancing the views of the customer with the educational and operational principles of the school
- Commitment to the whole life of the school, including events and after school activities
- Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of different audiences
