Job Description

Come join Intel as part of our Quality and Reliability Circuit Stress Validation and Transfer laboratory, which is part of the Corporate Quality Network (CQN). Our team is responsible for aging circuits at the product level under certain stress conditions for the CPU and system-on-a-chip (SoC) products that go into Intel platforms.

CQN strives to lead the industry moving forward through product innovation and world-class engineering. We are chartered to develop the capability to stress circuits. We are a nimble, high-output team that works well together and have fun doing hard work. In this position, the candidate will be using platforms and test equipment to run test programs and collect data at specific voltages and temperatures for CPU and SoC products.

The candidate will be engaged in activities ranging from, but not limited to:

- Test and collect data on platforms and test equipment using a range of test programs and tools for different workloads.

- Perform voltage, content, and temperature experiments and generate data summary reports.

- Troubleshoot platforms and test equipment hardware and software-specific issues.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, and/or work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in electric, electronic, computer engineering, or related field studies.
  • Advanced programming skills using Python for testing and automation purposes.
  • 6+ months experience working with Operating Systems used in platform validation, including Windows and Linux.
  • 6+ months experience in PC repairs and/or troubleshooting (testing motherboards).
  • Intermediate to Advanced English Skills (B2+).
  • Unrestricted Costa Rica work permit.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel.
  • Experience in electrical measurements of test interface boards using instruments (Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzer).
  • Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) such as HDMT or CMT.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with microprocessor/ASIC testing equipment, running test programs, and troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • Strong fundamental understanding of Computer Architecture and modern CPU components.
  • Programming skills with C++, Java.
