Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented! Quantity Surveyor will be part of Project Execution team of Business Unit Transmission Solutions, which is responsible for Tendering, Cost estimation, Optimization, and completion of Grid Stations projects in line with cost and quality requirements of the contract. Quantity Surveyor will: Review in detail tender documentation conditions, scope of work and specifications, undertake site visits at tender stage and provide report. Provide appropriate Bills of Quantities and quantity take-offs using software tools. Review and check suitability of internally prepared tender drawings. Provide accurate Civil works cost estimates and issue Subcontract enquiries. Review and ensure completeness of Civil works quotations. Assist in financial and commercial tender risk assessments, subcontract negotiations and prepare subcontract documentation. Provide analysis and recommendations following review of subcontract offers. Review layout and building arrangement drawings in conjunction with the Civil Design Coordinator and provide cost reduction suggestions. Provide Civil Works cost to help completing forecasts and monthly financial status reports. Provide price schedule breakdown and invoicing procedure for main Contract Civil Works. Undertake periodic post contract site visits. Review main Contract and Subcontract conditions and ensure necessary contractual notifications are raised and issued. Identify potential variations and claims under the Main Contract and Subcontracts and prepare appropriate supporting documentation. Review and provide defense documentation for variations and claims raised by subcontractors. Review and evaluate subcontract Final Accounts. Provide comprehensive financial and commercial support to the Civil Construction Manager. Identify the requirement for additional tendering and post contract award support and advice the Civil Construction Manager accordingly. Perform according to the Business Conduct Guidelines/ Siemens’ internal procedures and support in establishing a culture of trust and integrity. Your Qualifications And Skills – Digital And Solid! Degree/ DAE in Civil Engineering 5-7 years’ experience in cost estimation and quantity take off, project related subcontractor invoice certifications and financial forecasts Proficiency in MS Office and Revit would be plus point. Good interpersonal/ communication skills Fluency (Verbal and Written) in English What else do you need to know?
