Siemens is looking for a new Civils Site Supervisor to join their Rail Infrastructure team in Birmingham. The role will be responsible for Site Supervision of railway civils installation staff both Sub Contractors and Siemens/agency staff. Key Duties: · Support the Manager in Organising and planning work to maximise utilisation of resources and ensure task record sheets are completed in a timely and accurate fashion. · Supervise and control the On-site work undertaken by allocated staff and contractors and ensure that it is carried out safely and efficiently. · Responsible for assisting in managing the personal safety and administration of allocated staff and contractors. · Responsible for ensuring that tools and equipment are secure in good condition and are returned to the controlling organisation when not required. · Responsible for the briefing of instructions to staff under control or allocated for such purpose. · Act up to the manager role when needed for short durations of time or due to weekend demands. · Responsible for checking timesheets ensuring correct hour booking and appropriation. · Responsible for timekeeping of allocated staff and highlighting any issues to the Manager. · Work as directed. Essential Requirements: · Experienced in Civils Installation. · Appropriate Civils qualification (SSTS, etc) · Fully conversant with current railway practices · Assertive and influential. · Excellent communications skills. · Must hold current driving license and current PTS certificate. · Must be willing to travel and lodge away from home depot when required by operational circumstances. · COSS. · Conversant in ALO and the supervision/deployment of on-track plant/equipment.
