The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join the AIA Claims team to proactively manage income protection and TPD claims in accordance with policy terms and conditions and, where appropriate, the Insurance Contracts Act and other relevant legislation, ensuring that the client is given a fair assessment whilst upholding AIA’s brand and reputation.
Please note there are multiple opportunities open.
To do this successfully you will:
- Manage a portfolio of claims, process payments and provide regular status updates to members
- Ensure that members are paid appropriate rates within a set timeframe
- Practically apply policy terms and conditions, analyse medical, financial and other relevant information and engage the appropriate investigation tools to ensure claims are appropriately managed
- Pro-actively manage claims duration and engage with appropriate third parties such as rehabilitation to ensure sustainable return to work outcomes are facilitated.
Successful applications will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a customer facing or administrative role
- Experience in the life insurance industry (desired but not essential)
- Ability to consistently build and maintain good, positive relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to listen with understanding and empathy
- Great written and verbal communication skills
