Job Description
As a Health Claims specialist, you will be responsible for the assessment of medical claims by liaising with clients, health professionals and advisers and processing claim payments ensuring a high level of accuracy.

The Opportunity:

As a Health Claims specialist, you will be responsible for the assessment of medical claims by liaising with clients, health professionals and advisers and processing claim payments ensuring a high level of accuracy.  Come join our dedicated team and work in a face paced environment. You will be part of a busy and multi-tasking to provide empathy and great customer service to our clients.

About the role:

  • To assess each claim under the benefits of the policy and ensure the claim is applicable and within the parameters of the policy.  
  • Customer queries are promptly responded to with an empathic and caring approach.
  • Liaise with providers including hospitals, specialists about client claims.
  • Support the Health Claims Manager with new initiatives and process improvements.
  • Be part of the claims team and contribute to a positive team culture.

About you:

For this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working in insurance or the medical related role.
  • Knowledge in understanding policies and medical terminology
  • Able to work with a variety of stakeholders and create positive working relationships.
  • Savvy using several systems and applications.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and be self-driven.
  • Fluency in another language (an advantage).
