The opportunity:
This is your opportunity to join our claims team and to manage death claims for our customers both in a timely and empathetic manner.
You will be responsible for claims assessment, decisioning, accurate payment and managing risk exposure for AIA. In this role, you will be liaising with customers (Terminal Illness claims), health professionals, advisers, lawyers and other internal/ external specialists. You will also be working with insurance providers to ensure prudent medical and financial assessments are conducted and continued throughout the duration of the claim for our customers.
About the role:
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide an excellent standard of customer service and response to customer queries.
- Assist with external and internal customer queries via the phone queue and email and written correspondences.
- Investigate, assess, and settle claims in line with policy wordings, applying technical knowledge and people skills to affect fair and prompt closure of cases.
- Communicate decisions to our clients and/or third parties that are concise, straightforward, and easy to understand.
- Verify and analyse data used in paying (or settling) claims to ensure that claims are validated.
- Gain knowledge and work on all Life cover products on all systems operated by AIA.
- Enter claim payments, new claims and update claim files on our Claims Management System (CMS).
- Liaise with advisers, lawyers, doctors, medical specialists, and other internal/external providers to obtain additional information.
About you:
For this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in working in life insurance
- Strong empathic and pragmatic approach to problem solving and working with clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior relationship management expertise with a proven ability to develop positive relationships at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and able to find solutions that meet our business needs.
- Understanding/knowledge of risk management and compliance.
