Job Description

1. Maintain medical records and disposal of inactive medical records, and if required, trace
laboratory, radio-diagnostic and other investigation reports.
2. Act as the Shroff i/c in the clinic and ensure the daily transactions in Shroff are complied
with Finance's guidelines.
3. Perform day-end cash count to ensure correct cash collection at the Shroff counters.
4. Prepare day-end Shroff-cut summary reports.
5. Handle clinic cash refund.
6. Handle exemption of GOPC attendance fee.
7. Handle Guard Force pick-up service for cash collection.
8. To answer telephone enquiries, and perform receptionist and registration duties as and
when required.
9. Supervise and monitor EAIIIA on Shroff counter services, cash collection and other
Shroff duties such as registration and quota arrangement.
10. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements :
1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the HKCEE including Eng Lang (Syll. B), Chin Lang and
Mathematics, or equivalent; OR
(b) 5 subjects in the HKDSE attaining the level specified below :
  • Level 2 in Eng Lang, Chin Lang & Mathematics; and
  • Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / “Attained” in Applied
Learning subjects/Grade E in Other Language subjects; or equivalent
2. Ability to perform typing, word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

Preferred Attributes :
1. Hands-on experience in OPAS and ERP.
2. Proficiency in applications of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and word
processing (both English and Chinese).
3. Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Remarks :
For HA Serving Staff :
1. Serving staff who have completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years' clerical
experience within HA may also be considered.
2. The selected candidate will be offered either contract or fixed term appointment for 1 to
3 years depending on his/her existing employment terms. Serving contract employee
may be offered contract employment with up to 15% of total basic salary (after
deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-
of-contract gratuity upon satisfactory completion of contract. Serving permanent
employee will be offered a fixed term appointment after which the employee may be
reverted back to his/her former substantive rank.
3. The offer of salary and allowance (Cash Allowance, Fixed-flexi Allowance or Monthly
Allowance) for serving employees upon changes in appointment will be made in
accordance with prevailing policies.

For External Applicants :
4. Selected candidate will be offered contract employment for an initial period of 1-3 years.
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident
Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered upon satisfactory
completion of contract.
5. Retiring / retired HA staff who wish to continue working for HA after their normal
retirement may also apply. If selected, the terms and conditions of employment will be
offered in accordance with prevailing policies of the Retired and Rehire Mechanism of HA.
