POSITION PURPOSE
The Night Auditor is required to audit, balance and consolidate Department ledger
accounts, supervise the night audit process in the Opera system and prepare various
hotel operating reports as well as balance the end of day reports of the different
outlets with the Opera system.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Reconciliation
and
completion of
all daily Desk Agents' work
•Posting
balances
to all guest rooms and closing out the
day's transactions
•Running
accounts
receivable reports, providing next day reports to all the departments, as
required.
•Provide
guest
services to guests during the overnight hours
•Attend
to
guest’s needs and questions as they arise
•Park cars
when necessary to keep the entrance free
•Coordinate
with
other night shift staff to ensure smooth running of the hotel operations
•Responsible
for
the evacuation of the hotel in case of emergency.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
•To have
previous experience in Finance or Front Desk/Food & Beverage cashiering
experience.
•Leadership
as
well as the ability to work independently, taking initiative.
•Strong
communication
skills – must
be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish, German
would
be a plus.
•Must be
willing to work a night schedule.
•Valid
drivers
license
•Customer
orientation,
strong capacity to care of the guest
•Knowledge
Opera
system will be a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school or equivalent education required (Finance, Tourism).
Three to five years of previous Front Office or Finance department experience in a 5* Hotel preferred.
Leadership as well as the ability to work independently
Must be willing to work night schedule
Drive license
