About the Role:
CCG, Client Platform and Experience Architecture is seeking a dynamic senior technical leader to join our team to lead the translation of user experience research into CPU and compute enabled technologies to fulfill user needs. This role will include deep engagement with our UX teams to understand and characterize the research findings and lead and partner with teams across Intel to create architecture requirements, analyze workloads, develop innovations, and identify computing hardware/software improvements to determine business priorities and balance trade-offs helping to position Intel as a leader in client computing.


Responsibilities:

  • Determine client computing functional requirements based on product goals, use cases, and workload analysis ensuring power efficient client systems delivering to key usages and experiences important to the business unit.

  • Collaborate with domain experts across Intel and in the industry to study client platform architecture, determine trade-offs solutions, define compute roadmaps and strategies to deliver great end user experiences.

  • Innovate new computing concepts and drive new features leading to world class performance/watt solutions

  • Lead strong partnerships with Intel's technologists, product management, engineering, design, business development, sales, and marketing teams to help build collective mindshare in augmenting Intel's core CPU compute technologies.

  • Participate and drive business unit feedback into instruction set architecture proposed changes and/or additions.

  • Analysis of specific workloads and experiences across existing and emerging product segments to identify performance and/or power optimization opportunities.

  • Work with the client business unit roadmap team to ensure the latest CPU technology and IP intercepts the product roadmap meeting business requirements.

  • Work with the projections and benchmarking team to ensure the next generation of client products address the needs of our OEM, partners, and end-users.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 12+ years of related experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in computing system architecture, processor architecture, processor micro-architecture, SoC performance modeling, SoC design and validation and architecture research.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of Client PC computing platform and system architecture

  • Understanding of PC platform experience driven use case decomposition

  • Demonstrated experience analyzing performance, power, and use case modeling.

The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones. Working with our partners across the industry, we intend to continue to advance PC experiences to deliver the real-world performance people demand. Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
