Intel Client CPU architecture group is looking for a Power and performance Architect to join the team.
The group is responsible of architecting , state of the art next generation mobile and desktop CPUs. This team works hand in hand with our design, validation, business partners and customers to deliver best-in-class performance, power and innovations across the CPU portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer architecture, performance analysis, power analysis and software engineering. As a Performance Architect, you will help define and drive critical performance and performance/watt features for industry and customer leadership at both the architectural and micro-architectural levels.
- Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
SOC performance and performance/watt modeling, studies, analysis
Conducting forward looking research and development for next generation CPU products
Understanding usage models and develop key performance and performance/watt indicators
Defining, planning, and scoping the performance modeling, studies, and analysis work with predictable well-communicated execution timelines
Identifying, mapping architectural and micro-architectural features to their power and performance impacts
Sets requirements for and works to continuously improve power and performance modeling infrastructure
Qualifications

- Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in the following areas:
Simulation-based performance modeling
Multiple clock domain designs, clock crossing structures
Performance analysis
Computer architecture
- Preferred Qualifications:
Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
5+ years of experience in the following areas:
Power Artist, PTPX, and Blizzard power and performance tools
ASIC experience, with several completed ASIC projects through tape-out
Low-power design, coarse/fine grain clock gating.
Unix shell and Perl scripting

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
