Job Description
Working closely with BNYM operations, technology, and other functional units, responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of implementation plans for new and incremental client conversions The role includes managing one or more work streams within a large program to enable delivery of services, working across multiple internal teams The incumbent is required to engage with Clients, BNYM Operations, Technology, and other groups to ensure all parties are fully prepared to deliver required quality services within agreed timescales. Lead and control complex onboarding projects following all governance standards. In partnership with Technology and Operations, ensures development of testing plan in alignment with program timeline, and that aligns with requirements of operations and technology functions. Ensures client and 3rd party readiness for all stages of external testing. Ensures the development of defined operational readiness activities to support the specific post implementation support model. Ensures all components are adequately covered, and measure and report on progress in line with program timelines. Provides input to conversion strategies, and ensures internal, client, and 3rd party readiness in line with agreed criteria. Effective client relationship management through a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business needs and expectations. Positively contributes to the client relationship through an open and constructive approach. Maintain strong working relationships with the service delivery teams within BNYM. Work with them to ensure operating models are clearly defined and is suited to meeting the client’s needs. Facilitate internal discussions around changes to the operating model and following up with the internal teams to ensure all required sign offs are received Ensure delivery of high quality and timely output by maintaining and monitoring project plans, action logs, etc., identifying issues and ensuring they are resolved Assist Senior Management in identifying and assessing risks and efficiencies, recommends suitable solutions and implements plan, once agreed Observes procedures and controls in place department-wide and escalates any weaknesses or gaps that are encountered. Qualifications 5+ years background in financial services in either a front or middle office capacity; strong knowledge of institutional investment practices, at least 0-1 years in management preferred. Demonstrated experience in similar functions – leading specific domain related projects - in financial services or in a front or back office environment within an asset manager BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
