The Client Operations Officer will report to Head of Clearing Services. The Clearing Services business line covers all derivatives clearing activities in post trade management. It provides clearing and client services for futures and options traded on the Listed Derivatives markets and OTC markets.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operational duties for all activities such as trade order input, clearing with brokers, reconciliation of clients’ positions, client notification on expiry/ exercise/ assignment to ensure performance;
• Ensure proper application of procedures, regularize processing and operations;
• Update malfunctions and special events, analyze and decide on corrective actions;
• Report incident on operational risks tool;
• Coordinate the processing of customer enquiries, broker request and those from other internal departments;
• Carry out relevant study and analysis as required;
• Ensure service quality meets or exceeds customer expectation and needs

Requirements

• University degree, major in finance or related disciplines
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience in derivatives operations; candidates with more experience can be consodered more senior position
• Strong knowledge of derivatives, able to identify operational risks
• Team spirit combined with the ability to work autonomously and pro-actively
• Excellent communication skills and well organized
• Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Knowledge in French/Japanese/Korean and/or other foreign/Asian languages would be an advantage
