Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production
    • Booking and monitoring of the operations (OTC, Listed cash, Listed Derivatives, etc...) performed by the clients
    • Follow up of the settlement flows, including fails management
    • Follow up of the funding management of the platform
    • Ensure coordination of the follow the sun process with territories
    • Manage escalations raised by the team or the clients
    • Ensure reconciliations are dully performed
    • Follow up on client’s requests and inquiries
  • Controls Aspects
    • Responsible for the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan
    • Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines
    • Responsible for reporting all incidents according to the Incident Management System
    • Minimizing operational failure, including but not exclusively, the risk of fraud, by helping to devise, and by implementing sufficient regular controls
    • Ensuring appropriate escalation to management and/or Permanent Control (or Compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified
  • Management
    • Team management (7 people) and animation (morning meeting, weekly meeting…)

    • Define tasks, missions & objectives for each team members

    • Coordinate team workload and training

    • Supervise the team by giving advices & providing controls as to reach the fixed targets

    • Assess the team (via continuous feedback and coaching)

    • Responsible for ensuring team members comply with regulatory, compliance requirements and internal guidelines

    • Responsible for ensuring job descriptions are written, distributed and updated

    • Follow team members initiatives

    • Maintain a good partnership relation with FO, CIB Operations & IT Teams

    • Keep openness, critical mind on the daily production & report the relevant case to management

 

PROFILE

  • Proven knowledge of global markets (Finance, Back-Office, Middle-Office)
  • Strong knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income products, Listed Derivatives and Stock Lending is a plus

  • Knowledge of Global markets and settlement practices and procedures

  • Excellent grasp and understanding of trade lifecycle

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate with all levels of the business and technical parts of the organization

  • Operate effectively in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Previous management experience is mandatory

  • Works well under pressure

  • Risk awareness

  • Strong MS Office Skills (especially Excel)

  • Fluent English – written and spoken – is mandatory
