Location/Division Specific Information
 
We are looking for an experienced Sales Supervisor to join our growing team CSD Team (Clinical Next Generation Sequencing Division). The role will focus on growing and developing the clinical diagnostics market with Ion Torrent NGS platforms in Italy. It will involve maintaining existing relationships with key opinion leaders and developing new relationships as we expand our menu and application. The portfolio will cover Oncology, Immunology, Microbiology, and other applications in the future. The role is remote based and covers ITALY.
 
How will you make an impact?
 
This role requires a dynamic and tenacious individual with a proven track record in sales and a deep technical understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and the Diagnostics Market with a focus in Oncology.
 
What will you do?             
 

  • Coordinate and implement business strategies through the Clinical Sequencing team to achieve revenue budgets. Participate in strategic market research.
  • Participate in Market Development activities, congresses, and manage relationships with KOL
  • Accountable for developing Clinical Sequencing team’s ability to achieve performance goals.
  • Lead and motivate the sales activities of the company in Central Europe
  • Implement management processes that ensure consistent, timely and successful execution of the sales team’s strategies and objectives.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing, motivating and coaching the Clinical Sequencing team members.
  • Accurately forecast product sales and revenues.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive plans/programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives.
  • Assist in the negotiation of contracts where appropriate.
  • Manage expenses within guidelines; travel as necessary to meet revenue goals.
  • Interact with other departments as needed to communicate changes and provide updated information.
  • Develop and execute business plans for targeted accounts. Complete a territory business analysis for management quarterly review.
 
How will you get here?
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field; or the equivalent knowledge and experience. A Master’s or PhD degree is desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in Diagnostics sales.
  • Sales management experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology principles, methods and applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of NGS technologies
  • Strong experience in Instruments and consumables sales. Ready to engage in negotiations with Hospital management and procurement.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Good telephone, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Good written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Strong presentation skills for both technical and sales related materials.
  • Ability to act independently based upon limited information by analyzing available data, designing an action plan and implementing that plan with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and influence/motivate other team members.
  • Flexible, adaptable and open to change.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel within region and internationally up to 60%
