For more information, visit www.AllerganAesthetics.com. Allergan promotes several products to Medical Aesthetic professionals including a leading botulinum toxin and a range of facial fillers. It is critical to ensure that our customers are trained appropriately on Allergan’s products, so that they can use them correctly and maintain high standards. The Clinical Specialist’s role is to provide hands-off support to Medical Aesthetic customers across Spain & Portugal in the use of Allergan’s non-surgical products. This role will ensure that practitioners are competent to use Allergan’s range of products safely and effectively. They will support the Product Specialists in their designated regions in delivering clinical support to their customers and drive use of our portfolio within those accounts. This is designated as a promotional role. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES In collaboration with our sales team, identify customers who will benefit from more technical product support and work in clinic with those customers to drive confidence in the use of Allergan’s non-surgical range. Support will be tailored to the needs of the customer, but examples may include: o Using the right products for the treatment required Filler techniques – Needle and cannula Reconstitution Injection techniques Support customers with technical training as it relates to any new product launch (reconstitution, marking up, injection techniques, follow up). Sell science behind Allergan’s products and articulate the benefits of those products to the customer. Evaluate if a customer is ready for the next stage of Allergan’s educational journey. This will enable learning at the correct pace for the customer. Attend any relevant training to keep own product knowledge and clinical knowledge to the highest standards. Support the Regional Product Specialist team with product and clinical training. Collaborate with the Allergan education team, to ensure they are helping deliver Spain & Portugal strategy in its educational goals. Competencies The Clinical Specialist will work from an in-depth, evidence based, understanding of aesthetic practice as a whole and has the ability and knowledge to lead in clinical competence. A high degree of integrity, professionalism and discretion is also required. Technical/Clinical/Professional Knowledge & Skills: Clinical Specialists will achieve a sound understanding of Allergan’s product portfolio supporting the safe and effective use of those products. They will maintain and develop their knowledge, keeping up to date with new products and clinical indications. Communication, Collaboration and Partnership: Clinical Specialists will demonstrate effective communication skills that promote collaborative teamwork and enhance partnership among healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Allergan. Teaching & Development of HCPs and Colleagues: Acts as a product expert to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) & non-health care staff, (where applicable), in order to facilitate their learning and development. Participates in a team learning and development environment. Ability in evaluating current practices of others and the ability to challenge and influence change. Legal and Ethical Issues: All Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) must practice within certain legal and ethical frameworks. An understanding of these frameworks is essential for Clinical Specialists to deliver competent professional training to HCPs and appropriate care to patients. Qualifications Experience/Knowledge: Experience in the commercial healthcare sector in delivering clinical support to Healthcare practitioners. Medical/clinical qualifications is a must as nursery diploma, or Medical Doctor Excellent communication skills.
