To lead the reporting area and governance/audit element of the Clinical and Collaboration Finance remit. Endure Finance Partnership with the Business and wider R&D Finance to achieve the strategic and operational goals of the business area through the strategy and performance cycle. Understand the cost base, lead Accord (Clinical Trials Cost System) replacement, ensure standardization and maintenance of all key reports for the team.
Responsibilities include leading forecasting processes, deep analysis of the external costs, consolidated management reporting and analysis to R&D Finance; and development and maintenance of financial / management data collection and analysis tools within the remit.
Typical Accountabilities
- Leads regional Planning & Reporting group
- Responsible for the execution of the wide budgeting and planning processes (ABU/RBU), month end reporting and Accord related data management
- Responsible for the timely accurate submission of budgets and forecasts, landing process and Sox/FCFs controls submission
- Responsible for coordinating in depth financial analysis of R&D external costs and financial results.
- Leads the preparation of presentations and reporting of a monthly financial Landing and actual results
- Leading the Clinical Cost Tracker Bot maintenance and ACCORD related matters
- Responsible for timeline and informational requirements for the ABU, RBU and other financial management plans to satisfy management reporting requirements, corporate reporting requirements and ad hoc informational needs.
- Works directly with Clinical and Collaboration Finance Leads on reporting and cost base and triggers of cost types analysis.
- Manages overall relationship with R&D Finance, Group Reporting, GFS and Others for monthly closures, reporting and analysis.
- Incorporate all enhancements of the reporting and standardization for the team to strengthen cost control and governance
- Manage and challenge balance sheet reconciliation process, FCF and Sox Controls defined for the team and execute in timely manner
