You’re a qualified finance professional with strong post-qualified experience in reporting, audit and systems. Now you’re ready to join a large global company in a critical area of our business.
As part of a dynamic, global finance group, you’ll lead, advise and support reporting, audit and system topics. You will be a key figure within the Reporting and Audit Team supporting Clinical & Collaboration Finance and auditors with regular reports, financial information and guidance related to audit topics.
You will lead the design and implementation of the integration of the local finances with global reporting, audit and budget management process. You will also drive the efficiency and simplification of processes and tools as well as design and implement new reports and budget management tools.
This role will give detailed exposure to our core business & provide an incredible learning ground & experience.
Accountabilities
Your main accountabilities will include:
Integration of local finance with global
Mapp current local process that will influence the integration with global, including local accrual processes;
Understand and map all necessary data dumps required from systems in order to set up the necessary data bases for the reporting environment;
Liaise with Clinical Finance Manager for global hubs on how to integrate the local data into the global reports;
Develop reports for the Regional Finance Team and Global R&D Finance teams for budget, actuals and balance sheet overview from a global perspective;
Drive standardization of processes across local and global teams, including accrual process standardization;
Support SAP unification project;
Reporting and budget management
Develop the Cost Tracker clinical trial budget management tool to account for local budgets together with global budgets as to provide full overview of clinical external trial costs for Global Study Leaders and Clinical Finance Business Partners;
Develop Scenario/simulation Modelling tool for simulation and effect assessment for timeline, recruitment and budget changes;
Maintenance of both tools;
Develop P&L, balance sheet and forecasting reports for local, regional and global finance teams;
Audit Management:
Develop accrual SOX controls for local books in line with SOX global accrual controls;
Roll out of the process to all local teams involved;
Maintain process once implemented;
Systems:
Liaise with IT teams in order set up and maintain systems and data dump reports in a way that allows for a good reporting and audit environment;

Qualified finance professional
Strong financial tools technical expertise
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Advanced Power Pivot, Power Query and VBA skills
Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills, including oral & written English
Desirable
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team & liaising with senior managers and external audit teams
Use of / exposure to financial systems, e.g. SAP, Business Objects and Hyperion
Experience of working in a global organisation
