PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide strategic oversight of clinical programs and make key decisions on how clinical studies should be implemented to ensure the high quality outcomes and animal welfare compliance.



DUTIES and PERFORMANCE INDICATORS


DUTIES

Responsible for providing project teams expertise advice on clinical plans and study executions

Responsible for planning, preparation and conduct of clinical trials

Take VMRD project leadership as appropriate

Responsible for providing adequate training to VMRD colleagues involved in clinical work

Participate in lab work

MEASURE

Animal experiments are designed and completed satisfactorily by the agreed timeline.

Studies are completed in alignment with registration requirements per agreed timelines

Project is planned and progressed per agreed timeline and costs

As agreed with manager

Agreed lab works are completed in time

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Attention to details; team player; good organisational and people skills

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

Good experiences in clinical trials and their application in vaccine development compatible with Chinese MOA requirements.

Good understanding of GCP and animal welfare practices.

Tertiary qualification in veterinary medicine and is a certified practicing veterinarian.
