The candidate for this position will act as a change agent / champion from the GPA Middleware to bring in the desired transformation associated with the External Cloud and Container Transformation. Here are the specific goals that the person will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that the targeted GFTS applications are onboarded to Containers and External Cloud as per schedule
• Ensuring that the organization realizes the expected benefits:
  • reduced manual work & tickets through better monitoring, elimination of issues and automation/self-service
  • consistency through adherence to reference architecture,
  • robustness & resiliency (High Availability, One-Touch COB capable),
  • protection against Cyber threats (VTMs, GEMS, FIDs and other potential loopholes), and
  • Reduced cost of ownership through better utilization of hardware and software
• Reporting on these Key performance measures and critical success factors, drawing up action plan to remediate issues and executing them.

The person will collaborate with other stakeholders in Architecture, Engineering, External Cloud Vendors, Production Assurance Leads and Middleware Technology Managers to relentlessly drive these goals toward never-ending improvements.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

5+ years Information Technology experience with the following:

Documentum and DFS, IBM ECM, SharePoint, Attivio, Abby, and Kofax.

5+ years’ experience with Cloud and Virtualization

Implementation of cloud and automation for application components, including AWS and GCP and Docker/Container Technology

High Availability (Clustering (Storage and Processes) and Load Balancing

Previous experience with Application and Web Server Administration

Weblogic, Websphere and Tomcat

IIS, IHS, Apache and iPlanet HTTP Servers

Java JDK and JRE installation and tuning

Enterprise Software Installation and configuration

Previous experience with Oracle Database (Good to have RAC and ASM knowledge
