We are looking for a highly motivated Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. Being a part of the Agile scrum team that works on advanced AI systems solutions as part of the technology and innovation group within Siemens’ Factory automation group. The candidate will own and drive continuous integration and deployment as an integral part of all of our solutions. Using state-of-the-art tools to automate generation, deployment, quality control and integration of our solution to an on premise or on cloud solution instance. In this role you will closely work with other software engineers in your Agile scrum team to design and implement new functionalities, have a keen eye for high-quality software development techniques, and work with state-of-the-art tools to increase productivity and quality of our software. Required skills, knowledge and experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Knowledge of building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. Familiar with ways to automate and improve development and release processes Solid knowledge in automated testing of web-based applications and REST services. Knowledge of container technologies such as docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes is a plus! Familiar with cloud based DevOps is plus (AWS, Azure). Knowledge of Terraform, packer and ansible is a plus! Worked with version control tools such as Git, GitLab, Mercurial. Detailed understanding of coding best practices. Familiar with Linux. Working experience with the Atlassian tool suite (i.e. Jira Agile, FishEye) or similar. Strong communication skills with a quantitative analysis oriented mindset. We’re Siemens.
