About The Role: The Cloud Operations Engineer will act as a highly-visible solution engineer contributing to the improvement of the service and the service delivery processes in support of key customers’ change requests during the full lifecycle of the contracts. The support work is varied ranging from consulting with customers on changes in their cloud implementation, owning and developing those change, guiding and supporting other team members, and setting up processes, procedures and tooling to be able to support customer implementations. A key objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality technical consultancy both in terms of technical expertise, documentation and code. .
Responsibilities:
Support key implementations based on SDL’s services, with particular focus on Tridion (previously called as Knowledge Center) and related products
Suggest, develop and maintain technical elements of an implementation using best practice approaches
Train and act as a mentor for other engineers in the team
Communicate directly with clients or partners providing technical advice and guidance on best practice and developing technical solutions
Act as a representative of Cloud Operations in meetings and workshops with the client where relevant to their implementation and service
Ensure knowledge transfer occurs enabling the client to effectively use, and in some instances further develop the solution
Take clear ownership as the primary solution engineer for building and improving the service Provide constructive input into future changes to the implementation and service Requirements:
Experience with Cloud based Windows servers and systems
Knowledge of databases, MVC, XML, XSLT, RESTful services, JavaScript, IIS, HTML
Good knowledge of Powershell usage and implementation
Sound knowledge of XML and Technical Publications processes
Understanding of business and IT processes
Experience with SDL Tridion
Strong interpersonal skills and the natural ability to communicate effectively internally and externally. Develop relationships, with both technical and non-technical personnel and in a confident and friendly manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
A self-starter able to work independently and be resourceful in terms of finishing tasks and responsibilities Ability to troubleshoot effectively and systematically
