To better serve the demand and growth of Siemens Xcelerator portfolio of products in CAD, we are forming a new team under the Quality Assurance and Test organization focusing on supporting our Cloud/SaaS CAD products at both the platform and application level. This is a Senior Software Engineering position reporting directly to the Product Engineering Services QA Director. Individual will act in the newly defined test architect role to provide technical leadership in design and build test infrastructure for our CAD products with CI/CD tools. Individual will also provide technical support and leadership to the team in driving the overall test strategy and approach for our products. This role is encouraged to work in close collaboration with other SaaS development teams across functional boundaries. Responsibilities Hands on test architect to lead the research, design and implementation of extensible test infrastructure capable of working with multiple cloud service providers with an integrated CI/CD pipeline. Responsible for providing technical leadership and solutions on overall test strategy and approach covering functional and non-functional requirements at both platform and apps level by working with development and QA team members Work closely with test infrastructure team in implementing framework to identify test coverage gaps and work with management to prioritize and fill the gaps Provide frequent technical consultation with test team members to ensure cohesive approach to Cloud SaaS testing Identify product and process quality risk to management. Identify and implement risk mitigation actions Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanisms Promotes innovation through the ability to introduce new technology/knowledge into operation, product and to our people Possess and influence team members with continuous improvement attitude Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering 10+ years working in the field of Software Quality Assurance with a focus on Cloud SaaS platform and products with experience in both Automated Testing and Manual Testing Expertise in working with public cloud service provider such as AWS, Azure etc. Deep understanding of cloud technology stack with expertise in testing strategy and approach, covering functional and non-functional requirements such as performance, load, reliability etc. Expertise in performing different types of testing: component, subsystem, system, GUI, integration, regression, backend, and End-to-End User Acceptance Testing. Experience in testing infrastructure and tools development using languages like JavaScript/NodeJS, C++/Java, Python/Perl etc. Experience in front end languages such as HTML/CSS, XML Experience in BDD test frameworks such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium etc. Strong communication skill with experiences working with globally distributed team Excellent interpersonal and time management skills Self-motivated and driven with a continuous improvement focus You are passionate about helping build high quality products Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
