The System Simulation and Modeling (SSM) team is part of Intel's Software and Advanced Technology (SATG) group. We are transforming the way our product firmware and software are developed, integrated, and tested in a modern cloud computing environment. We build high-performance system simulators that serve as the product of our future. Great simulators result in leadership products by simulating our architecture and software before committing to our product execution. We are looking for strong software engineers ready to engage in large-scale software development, automation, and cloud projects. If you want to learn about modelling CPUs, complete SoCs, and CPU architecture, improving their performance and a deep understanding of SW/HW interaction, this is the place.
We are in search of developers of new features for current and future generation Datacenter platforms using Simics.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Software development and automation, driving initiatives and projects from design through implementation and deployment, system debug and support.
- Exercising judgment and discretion to develop solutions, remove obstacles and redefine approaches.
- Assess risks and identify efficient approaches to deliver high quality solutions in timely manner.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Requirements:
- Graduate Bachelors, Master's, or a Phd. in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering or engineering related field.
- 2+ years of active experience in large-scale software development, computer architecture or system software.
- Advanced English level
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more of the following skills is highly desired:
- Background/experience in simulation technologies such as Simics, QEMU or System TLM.
- Experience with industry standards like PCI, UPI or CXL.
- Proficiency in Python, C, and/or C++.
- Experience with Reliability, Availability and Serviceability (RAS) features in SoC architecture.
- Experience in DevOps methods and tools, such as Git, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
- Experience or willing to understand dive into system software debug including firmware, driver, or OS.
