We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Azure Infrastructure Cloud Solution Architect to drive high priority customer initiatives on the Microsoft Azure Platform in collaboration with customers and the Microsoft field in strategic accounts segment of our business. This is a customer facing role, owning overall technical relationship between customer and Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Platform.

In addition, experience and exposure to Advanced Analytics & AI to drive high priority customer initiatives on the Microsoft Data Platform in collaboration with customers and the Microsoft field is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Impact You’ll Be Making - The Public Sector / Government Industry Cloud Solution Architect is expected to:

The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management and Developers to drive core Infrastructure solutions and Datacenter migrations. Key responsibilities include:

• Understand customers’ overall infrastructure estate, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions (Microsoft and 3rd party solutions)
• Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap and architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, orchestrating key resources and infusing key infrastructure technologies (e.g. Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking)
• Establish deep relationships with key customer IT and Operations decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their organization as means of solving business problems to accomplish their organization’s mission within the Government Agency / Ministry.
• Understand customer's business requirements, challenge assumptions to motivate change, identify, validate and grow opportunities, in partnership with the sales team, for deployment of Microsoft and/or 3rd party industry solutions to deliver tangible business value.
• Lead mapping of business/solution goals & requirements to Azure-based architecture and technology solutions while taking a systems-wide view of the customer's existing solution landscape.
• Maintain and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with Government trends, regulatory/compliance requirements and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
• Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers
• Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
• Assess the Customers' knowledge of Azure platform and overall cloud readiness to support customers through a structured learning plan and ensure its delivery through partners

Additionally – your role and impact will include:

• Technical Enablement: Jointly develop technical enablement plan for Public Sector customers and partners
• Enablement Execution: Lead and or contribute to the delivery of workshops, Bootcamps, trainings necessary to build the technical skills and expertise of Public Sector customers and partners
• Technical Engagement: Lead deep technical engagements leveraging the Services Framework, including; Technical Briefings, Proof of Concepts, Architectural Design Sessions, Hackathons to define, bring new solutions to market and support customers and partners’ development teams
• Partnering and Sharing Best Practices: Network and collaborate with Microsoft’s Engineering and Global Black Belt teams on specific skill requirements for customers and partners and the sharing of best practices
• Technical Acumen: Understands technology trends and opportunities, compliance/risk issues by reading, attending webinars, conferences delivered by Industry thought leaders such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.
• Technical Network: Invests in own LinkedIn Profile to promote value, experiences and expertise. Responsible for building an expansive Network of partner technical contacts and internal technical contacts.
• Evangelist: Evangelizes the partners practice and solutions in customer’s implementations via Technical briefings, Architecture Review Sessions
• Implementation Success: Improves partner’s implementation success by increasing the number of FastTrack endorsed architects in the partner’s organization.
• Pre-Sales: Enable the partner on technical pre-sales skills while supporting initial partner’s wins.

Qualifications

Who We are Looking For - Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends; this include domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Windows and Linux IaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies), breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required (Microsoft related certifications preferred).
• Experience and understanding of large-scale infrastructure deployments in enterprise-wide environments required
• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior executives and growing cloud consumption share in large or highly strategic accounts
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication in English (a second language of Mandarin or Japanese is a plus)
• 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects)
• 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications for mission critical systems (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in “migrating” on premise workloads to the cloud
• Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
• Deep technical experiences in one or more of the following areas: Software design or development, Application Design, Systems Operations / Management, Database architecture, Virtualization, IP Networking, Storage, IT Security, Linux
• Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
• Prior work experience in a Consulting/Architecture position within a software and/or services company such as Amazon, Alibaba, VMware, Oracle, Google, IBM, SAP, Avanade, NEC, Fujitsu, NTT, Leidos, Hitachi, DXC
• Travel required: 0-40%, this position is based out of Singapore. Public Sector experience preferred
• Qualification Plus: Experience deploying of customer workloads onto Azure Data Services and machine learning to increase their consumption of the Microsoft Data Platform by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of customers' cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
