We are currently seeking a placement student with interest in, and enthusiasm for new technologies like Robotics, Vision guidance, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and a strong technical and IT background. State-of-the-art systems demand careful maintenance with specialists who can precisely steer highly automated, innovative technology to ensure non-stop perfection on our production lines. This is the basis for achieving excellence. You will support our Industry 4.0 Innovation Hub in innovative collaborative robot development projects, starting in July 2020 for 6 months.

What awaits you?


• Support the Assembly Data Strategy by supporting Collaborative Robotics and Internet of Things (IOT) activities
• Evaluate potential use cases for Collaborative Robotics within the production lines working with the Planning and PSP departments
• Lead small IOT initiatives focussing on Downtime “Hotspots” within the assembly production system
• Support with the network link of the COC Digitalisation with reference to robotics and IOT devices

• Studying towards a degree in IT or Electrical Engineering and on course to achieve a 2:1 or above.
• Strong technical background and knowledge in robotics and automation / PLC systems
• Basic knowledge and interest in machine learning and industrial vision systems
• Programming knowledge in Java and/or Python, C++
• Frontend development skills
• MS Office knowledge
• Good English language skills
