Colleague Services Supervisor

Behind the Historic Chateau Lake Louise is a community of 750+ colleagues.  As an influential member of the Colleague Services Team, this position focuses on creating and maintaining excellence in performance and service provided to residents. This role has an integral impact on the satisfaction of residents (our guests) in colleague accommodation. It is a dynamic role where you are required to work closely with the Engineering, Human Resources, Accounting and Security Departments. Colleague Services Supervisor is a hands-on role with a focus on property cleanliness & maintenance, inspections, customer service and leading the team of 10+ Colleague Services Agents. What you will be doing:  

Manage all Housing/Activity telephone and counter inquiries including but not limited to: guest passes, parking passes, Lifestyles cards, maintenance concerns, roommate issues, activity registration. Acting as staff concierge.

Update and maintain daily cleaning standards for units and buildings

Coordinate the tracking, delivery and or removal all furniture inventory and appliances

Supervise and execute tasks related to postal, shuttle and uniform services

Participate in scheduled unit inspections, advising on any safety, maintenance or FFE updates with representatives from the Maintenance and Security Departments

Participate in administrative tasks related to scheduling and assignment of daily tasks

Ensure daily cleaning tasks of attendants are complete to standard (quality and timeliness)

Promote safe working practices and proper use of PPE

Key inventory, issuing, collection and cost recovery

Manage all inventories (cleaning, sale items, stationary, etc.)

Room inspection tracking, reporting and filing

Maintenance request reporting, tracking and follow-up

Foster positive working relationships with colleagues across hotel departments

Record and post all departmental meeting minutes

Assist in managing the waitlist and room assignment process

Conduct audits of Housing records and property management system

Manage and maintain accuracy of the arrival/departure process

Verbal and written communication with tenants and hotel colleagues

Oversee the cleanliness, organization and inventory of Storage Bays / Recycling Bay

Maintain and track customer service and quality control results

Order supplies and equipment through the use of internal accounting software as need

Ensure a clean and safe working environment, and actively participate in health and safety initiatives

Adhere to all hotel environmental policies and initiatives

Carry out any other tasks as assigned

 

Your experience and skills include:

Degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration preferred

Possess a strong desire and talent to teach, coach and inspire a team of diverse employees

Previous experience in a supervisory or other leadership role required

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications required

Previous customer service, administration and housekeeping experience required

Prior experience in administration of property management or maintenance software an asset

Understanding of property maintenance and preventative maintenance

Must be able to comfortably lead and performance manage a team of 10 employees

Valid class 5 license required, class 4 license with a clean abstract preferred

Self‑motivated, with the ability to make effective decisions

Demonstrates initiative, and the ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision

Ability to maintain high service levels under pressure

Occasional physically demanding duties in residence and outdoors: encompassing standing, walking, bending & lifting (25kg)
