Position Description:
**Position Title: Commercial Analyst – Service Segment **
Reporting To: ANZ Services Sales Lead
Business Area: Sales Operations
Key Objectives of Position:
• Build and run an industry leading Business Management System for the SMB
segment, including REL, SMB, Consumer, eComm,\ & channel partners
• Provide commercial insight and advice to Management and Sales through
routine and ad-hoc analytics
• Deliver detailed Market Intelligence analysis using IDC data, maintain a
considered view of the market outlook
Day-To-Day Tasks:
• Assist and support the weekly ANZ business review (“cadence”) sharing the
delivery of the weekly regional deck with the commercial analysts
• Be the go-to person for segment leader and sales team for any data related
and market analytics request.
• Assist segment leader and sales team to pull historical financial data for
both internal and external business reviews.
• Respond to short-notice ad-hoc reporting requests from Ops/Finance and
across all segments
• Coordinate the submission of presentations and reporting to the senior
management team
• Improve the current sales reporting framework with innovative solutions
• Daily Order Report and Analysis – SI / ST
• Territory reviews / Gap Plans – provide insight to AE and Service BDM
• Sales Spiff/ Incentive tracking & Communications
• Set up and capture Quarterly sales targets & Attainment Calculations
• Customer Growth & Profitability, Sales Productivity , Coverage & RAD
analysis
• Prepare & coordinate harmonization submission for Finance BPC loading each
Mx cycle which includes all relevant segments & products
• Assist and support weekly Services business review & deliverables
• Control Sheet Management
• Pipeline Analysis
• Stock / WOI projection / calculation & Analysis
• Business Financial Simulations
• GTN Estimations
• Report all data quality issues into the data quality (DQ) framework, and not
permit DQ to impede decision making
• Attend project meetings and provide input on concepts and business
requirements to ensure projects deliver business outcomes
• Assist with the implementation of various AP projects.
#### Position Requirements:
Key Competencies Needed:
• Ability to build data reporting models in excel, run and maintain on daily
basis and trouble shoot independently without assistance
• Highly analytical in nature, the ability to gather disparate information
about a market and derive business insight from data
o Identify trends in sales data
o Derive insight in the face of uncertainty or inaccurate data
• Competent at basic database construction (Access or SQL) and query writing
to self-serve information from a data mine
• Strong attention to details and thoroughness in completing tasks
o Self-assess reports to ensure data accuracy and that the output is sense-
checked for validity prior to submission
o Plan and prioritise time to ensure efficient delivery
o Flag potential issues to management and customers
• Effectively transfer thoughts and expresses ideas verbally in individual or
group situations
• Confidently present to any management or staff level and effectively
transfer a message
• A demonstrated ability and continuing desire to work under pressure, and
aggressively attack tight deadlines
• Tenacity and resilience in a constantly evolving operation environment
• Independent thinking and the willingness to initiate and lead business
transformations within SMB sales operations
Critical Skills • Highly skilled in MS Excel, dashboard construction and
data manipulation to extract analytical insight
• D365 capabilities
• Strong understanding of the segment sales (REL, SMB & Channel)
• Strong skills with MS PowerPoint, and ability to structure “the prefect
executive summary slide”
• Excellent presenter and strong commercial acumen - good ability to
communicate ideas
• Experience with writing / building Access or SQL database queries
Key Performance Indicators / Metrics: • Maintain an accurate and independent
Pipeline to ASP outlook picture on a weekly basis, and conduct a quarterly
audit on the integrity of the data.
• Achieve outstanding CSAT feedback from the Services Sales Lead
• Build the perfect SMB business management system using KPI’s and exception
reporting to flag issues on a weekly basis
• Provide analytical insight with every piece of analytical work, making
commercial recommendations

significate opportunities within ANZ and AP as they develop
Candidate Pre-Requisites
Previous Experience:
5+ years experience in Sales Operations Analyst positions or finance function,
including 5 years in sales operations supporting a commercial business
This could be in the PC, Retail, Telco or FMCG industries.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related fields desirable.
