Job Description

Role purpose:

Under the direction of Managing Director, PAC APAC, the commercial assistant will be part of the Asia Performance Alloys & Composites team and be responsible for providing the administration and operational support the whole sales team.


Principle responsibilities include:

(20%) NBOs consolidation and unification


  • Regular meeting setup to drive progress and delivery in APAC
  • Consolidate the data and reports on a regular basis
  • Provide initial analysis on NBOs


(15%) Administrator all the sales activities


  • Customers database building
  • Marketing/customers communication
  • Customers events, etc;


(15%) Customer queries coordinating and management


  • Receiving, validating and following up on customer inquiries and provide customers and prospects with accurate quotations, terms of sale and all other appropriate information.
  • Utilising Materion business systems in the preparation of quotes and dissemination of information pertinent to our business.This includes, but not limited to EXACT S.A.P, Salesforce.com , Microsoft Excel, QSI and Lotus Notes.


(50%) Admin. assistant to PAC APAC.


  • Assist and coordinate the travel and business agenda for Managing Director
  • Coordinate the regular team meeting by regions
  • Consolidate for necessary reports on behalf of team
  • To undertake any other relevant duties as requested by management


Education and Experience:

  • Education generally equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Foreign Trade and English; ·
  • At least 2-3 years associated business experience, including sales operation or customer service; ·
  • Proficient in MS office. Working knowledge of EXACT. ERP system. Excellent communication and administration skills. Must have the ability to interact at all levels with the company and also with external customers.
  • Highly motivated. Possess a “can do” attitude. Efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow up. Highly proactive.
  • Ability to solve problems/troubleshoot.
  • Ability to multi-task. Adaptability and flexibility. Attention to detail/accuracy.
  • Desirable: A background in industry would be an advantage.
