Job Description

Responsibilities:

The candidate will support the Company’s business in negotiating commercial agreements with customers, vendors, suppliers, universities, and other partners. These agreements may include joint development agreements, master sales and purchase agreements, master professional services agreements, memorandums of understanding, Non-disclosure agreements and software licensing agreements (inbound and outbound). Knowledge of general commercial agreement clauses are essential.  Knowledge of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes and cost claims is also beneficial as well as experience with licensing (software, hardware, trademark or patent).

The ideal candidate must be able to function well in a small in-house legal group and must be adaptable to the needs of the position. The candidate will need to be self-driven, and function autonomously to perform a wide variety of duties, as assigned. This position will involve global support for business units around the world, and occasional international travel may be required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Juris Doctor from ABA accredited law school, or equivalent international credential. B.S. from accredited undergraduate institution. 1-2 years of experience supporting commercial matters. Excellent communication skills, flexibility, initiative, and ability to independently achieve results.  Professional appearance, demeanor and behavior. Strong organizational, time-management, and computer skills.
