Job Description

Commercial Distributor Sr Manager – LATAM Distributors

Purpose of the role:

The role’s objective is to maximises the Amgen portfolio (in line and pipeline) in all the Latin American countries we handle along with the local distributors.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, oversight of the operations in Latin American Distributor Markets, managing operational performance and driving sales, market share growth and profitability while ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Partners and charts the course with stakeholders in the creation of market overviews, market development, product launch, marketing plans and sales forecasts, maximizing the potential of the Amgen portfolio.
  • Delivers on annual sales budget.
  • Evaluates distributor performance and tracks against agreed metrics and distributor agreement.
  • Supports transfer of strategy & product knowledge to distributors by helping assess needs, recommending and coordinating training programs. 
  • Engage with the regional brand leads
  • Ensures compliance of distributors with relevant laws, regulations, company policies, training requirements and contractual obligations.
  • Drives progress on product filings, commercial launches and other key marketing activities, tracking planning and implementation.
  • Works close with Finance, Supply, Regulatory Affairs to support the operation for the region.
  • Lead the governance of the Latam Distributors operation

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of related experience in commercial, marketing or a combination of both.
  • Demonstrated competencies such as leadership, strong relationship driven and negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with computer systems (CRM databases and MS Office)
  • Ability to Read, Write and Speak Spanish and English
  • Strategy thinking
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, work independently and take responsibility for commercial and operational issues

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience local regulatory / legal pharmaceutical understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written) and work well in cross-functional
  • Relative experience in Specialty Products
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to influence without line authority at all organizational levels.
