Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas organization is currently seeking a Commercial Finance Sr. Manager to join our team. This position can be based at either our Syracuse, NY or Moon Township, PA locations. Relocation assistance will be provided. Position Overview: This position will lead the Commercial Controlling activities for the Global Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, and Oil & Gas organization. The role reports directly to the Group Controller, Global Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, and Oil & Gas organization. The primary responsibilities are commercial controlling and oversight with regard to strategy, product line performance & profitability, support of sales outgrowth & ROP’s, NPI investment and ROI, global pricing coordination, and portfolio & complexity management. This position is highly visible and will work cross-functionally with the senior leadership of the organization. In this position, you will: Assist in the development and execution of long-term strategy across the product portfolio including product innovation and portfolio management, globalization, commercialization excellence, end-market diversification and operations excellence. Responsible for building out product platform P&L structure including creating the foundation and rigor for financial performance: revenue growth, profitability (standard margin and expanding to ROS) and working capital. This includes supporting the team’s transition to a dashboard system (PowerBI) and creating a clear link between the product lines and regional financial forecasts. Partner with regional leaders on analyzing/prioritizing, tracking and executing outgrowth investments including NPI and penetration globally. Specific focus on partnering with engineering, product management and program management on NPI ROI, BOC quality and ProLaunch improvements. This also includes aligning outgrowth investments to financial performance within regional plans through ROP’s. Support profitability initiatives including partnering with GPLM’s and creating standard work for execution around head & tail, mix management, transfers of work, complexity management and cost savings initiatives. Update standard work and create process rigor globally around pricing to ensure entitlement through timely actions. Partner with regions and commercial teams around DOA to ensure appropriate pricing strategies to increase win rate while maintaining profitability. Support build out of an M&A pipeline and analyzing potential targets. Assist in the creation of synergy cases and make vs. buy analysis. In conjunction with the “head and tail” process, complete analysis on the “tail” for portfolio and support divestiture activities. Support Eaton’s digital strategy regarding new technologies, business models, and revenue streams that will drive transformation within the organization. Create standard work and analytics associated with vertical market indicators and share analysis. Support the analysis and understanding of the competitive landscape including analysis of external financials (where available) and relevant business activity Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution Minimum ten (10) years broad financial experience Minimum three (3) years’ experience managing people and/or project teams Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred Qualifications: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Finance experience within the manufacturing industry Previous experience within a manufacturing organization and commercial organizations Position Criteria: Self-Starter with the ability to develop strategic initiatives and drive results Must be a proactive communicator to all levels of management Demonstrated ability to influence broad organization directions and the attainment of objectives Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set that is effective at all levels of the organization Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and relationships in a global organization Leadership consulting, influencing and coaching skills Effectively leverages functional and cross-functional resources to solve problems, improve processes and meet objectives. Effectively drives and manages change, challenges the status quo and champions new and innovative ideas Demonstrated ability to create new, insightful analysis and, where appropriate, convert this to standard work and assign to others in the organization Proven managerial capability Strong business acumen, knowledge of US GAAP, an understanding of international business, and a working knowledge of financial systems (SAP, Hyperion/HFM, Encore) are requirements.
