Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions Division (Electrical Sector) is seeking a Commercial Marketing & Strategic Pricing Manager. This position could be based in Charlotte, NC, Moon Township, PA, or Peachtree City, GA. PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Commercial Marketing & Strategic Pricing Manager is responsible for leading the commercial operations team for Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS). This includes building the long-term pricing strategies and executing the annual profit plan for the division, including management and development of the pricing team. Additionally, this position is responsible for the strategic marketing communications roadmap and execution of building the division’s capabilities regarding front end systems to build customer affinity and achieve best in class commercial capabilities. The Commercial Operations Manager also leads and develops the customer service capability as well as marketing analytics. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Develop and implement marketing, pricing, and customer service strategies by segment, customer type, and service method in support of division price, share and profitability goals. Collaborate with product line management to ensure that above strategies are aligned. Maintain “Pricing Guidelines” and other pricing tools to ensure that the Regional Pricing Managers have effective tools to support their function. Collect and analyze competitors’ capabilities and specifics as available and developing recommendations for counter strategies and tactics as needed. Perform value-based analysis to make sound overall recommendations. Provide pricing analytics to support all CRDS product lines. Manage all aspects of marketing communications, pricing, and customer service (including analytics and voice of customer) for CRDS. Including, but not limited to – events, programs and promotions, creating and managing price bands, running pricing analysis and making pricing recommendations to leadership team. Develop the systems roadmap and implementation as a functional expert. Act as a liaison between Product Management, CPRO, Sales and other key stakeholders. Identify and define process changes required due to changing business/customer requirements and needs. Train internal users on new processes and process modifications, aligned with EBS guidelines. Create processes for system updates due to price changes or price increases or any other circumstances impacting division pricing. Owns the customer facing data quality initiatives for the CRDS division. Lead PDH initiatives, enhanced data quality and overall health of the electronic data bases. Enable the Front-End Systems team to continually monitor and update the accuracy of the Product Information in PDH, Eaton.com and Order Center. Support all product maintenance activities for the Residential, Wiring Devices and Commercial businesses in CRDS. These activities include Product Registration, Product Retirement and overall maintenance based on product line needs. Maintain and create customer information in SAP and make changes per Sales request. Lead digitalization implementation and utilization across the division including but not limited to Point of Transfer/ Point of Sale (POT/POS), SAP Vistex implementation (SPA and Rebate Agreement Programs), Electronic Order Entry Enhancement, Order Center implementation, C3 transition to OC, Vista line on the web transition to Order Center, EDI onboarding, and CPQ (Pricing tool support) implementation Qualifications Basic Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in business, marketing, pricing or IT function Bachelor in Business Administration / Bachelor of Science from an accredited institution Experience leading and developing a diverse team Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of electrical systems and products preferred, Pricing Processes and Systems preferred. Position Criteria: MS Excel expertise and MS PowerPoint proficiency. Strong knowledge of IT systems. Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Experience in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphical form. An understanding of costing concepts and terminology.
